Wonderful aromas & flavors combining green pepper, cassis and fresh blackberry fruit. A gorgeous, tasty, delicate Cabernet combining modern appeal with traditional classicism.
To be enjoyed with venison, lamb stew, meat pastas or rare beef.

Hoopenburg SHIRAZ 2003
Gorgeous crimson color. Lightly spicy and delicately berried on the nose and palate. The initial mouth feel is quite sumptuous, but this elegant Shiraz finishes fairly dry. The wine was matured for 14 months in small second and third-fill French oak barrels.
Suggested food: A good accompaniment to light red meat dishes or ostrich, oxtail and venison.

Hoopenburg PINOT NOIR 2004
An attractive, bright ruby color, the wine has a fruity nose and palate, full of strawberry and raspberry flavors, balanced by a firm acidity and gentle wooding. An elegant, drinkable, medium-bodied wine.
Suggested food: Will complement sushi (eel and salmon), and ostrich carpaccio perfectly.

 |
Hoopenburg CHARDONNAY 2005
Fresh lemon, lime and grapefruit with a pinch of cream balance out the nose. The zesty fruit on the nose is also present on the palate, with hint of oak coming through nicely on the mid palate.
Suggested food: Try with creamed soups and simply prepared fish dishes, calamari or mussels in white wine.

Hoopenburg SAUVIGNON BLANC 2006
The nose is fresh and aromatic. This gently dry wine has an abundance of tropical flavors like gooseberry, passion fruit and a touch of greenness. Good balance of mid palate fruit and acidity with a moderate alcohol giving some length. Fermented in stainless steel and French oak.
Suggested food: Great with lobster, crab curries, prawns, asparagus and seafood pasta. Excellent as an aperitif or enjoy with friends by the pool or spa.
