Overgaauw, a wine estate of distinction in the Stellenbosch Kloof, was founded by Abraham van Velden in 1905 on land owned by his family since 1783. For the past century the Van Veldens have done pioneering work and produced acclaimed wines on Overgaauw, one of the oldest family run estates in the area.
A proud family tradition of producing quality wines and one of the most beautiful settings in the Cape make Overgaauw Wine Estate well worth the visit.
David, is the fourth-generation Van Velden to make wine at Overgaauw.
We currently only have one of their wines in our portfolio. We plan to bring in more of their wonderful wines and a port to "die for", once the econoy improves.
